The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

The holiday season has always been my favorite time of year. It's the time for giving, the time for receiving and the time for taking the time to see the people you treasure the most yet see the least.
To be honest what I love most about this time of year is not the gifts, the parties, or even the food! I love the weather.

Those who know me well know that I am hot blooded. I am always miserably hot living here in sunny California. I treasure every chilly morning walk down paths lined with trees that have shed their leaves and every night riding by the beautifully decorated houses just visible through the night time fog. Oh how I dread the return of those days where my sneakers melt at the touch of the scalding asphalt (Literally).

My favorite time of day is the evening time, when the sun begins to set behind the clouds. This is when the sky shows all of its colors. Oh the colors! The pinks, purples, oranges, and greyish-blues combined with those chilly whistling winds. It's invigorating.

This is what I look forward to every year. This is what I dream about on those hot summer nights when my fan seems to mock me by blowing its hot musty air into my face. This is my time of year.

This weather has inspired me to knit a collection of vintage inspired baby items that all of nostalgic Nancy s will love. Here's a tiny sneak peak:

                 Happy Holidays,
